AXAGON ADSA-SC USB-C 5Gbps docking station for 2x 2.5"/3.5" SSD/HDD with disk cloning function without PC ADSA-SC, 8595247909411

Overview

USB-C 5Gbps docking and cloning station for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives

• The AXAGON ADSA-SC CLONE MASTER docking and cloning station with USB-C 5Gbps interface connects up to two SATA drives to a computer - 2.5" SSD/HDD or 3.5" HDD in any combination, without the need to install them inside a computer. The device is ideal for data migration from an old HDD to a new SSD, service testing, formatting multiple drives, but also for backing up a computer or NAS server or recovering data from a removed drive. The package includes a USB-C -> USB-A 5Gbps cable to ensure compatibility with most computers.

How to clone HDD and SSD without a computer

• The station can clone data between drives even without connecting to a PC - insert the source drive into the first slot (HDD A slot), the target drive into the second slot (HDD B slot), press the button, and monitor the progress via the LED indicator. The heart of the station is the ASMedia ASM1156 chipset, which manages both SATA drives and also provides standalone cloning without a computer. The result is a precise copy of the entire source drive including data, partitions, and the operating system. It is useful for on-site servicing or when you need to prepare multiple drives simultaneously without computer delays. The target drive must have the same or larger capacity than the source drive.

SATA I/II/III support for older and newer drives

• Both slots support any combination of 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD and 3.5" SATA HDD drives from desktop computers, laptops, and external storage devices. SATA 6G support (SATA III) with backward compatibility with SATA II and SATA I allows using modern SSDs as well as older hard drives - ideal for disposing of older computer fleets or rescuing data from obsolete hardware. The open design allows quick insertion and swap of drives without tools, simplifying repeated work with multiple drives.

Two drives simultaneously: software RAID and NAS backup

• When connected to a computer, both drives appear as separate volumes which you can work with independently and simultaneously - for example, for software RAID in Windows or macOS (MacBook), content comparison, or regular backup. The station can also be used as external storage for backing up a compatible NAS server. The USB 5Gbps interface (USB 3.2 Gen 1) enables fast data transfer, UASP optimizes disk communication, TRIM helps maintain SSD performance over time, and S.M.A.R.T. allows monitoring the status of connected drives. Disk sleep support during inactivity limits unnecessary operation and for mechanical HDDs stops platter spinning, which also reduces noise.

Durable aluminum body

• The aluminum body with brushed finish ensures durable workmanship for daily use with drives. The rubberized bottom prevents slipping when inserting or swapping drives and helps dampen vibrations generated by mechanical HDD operation.

The package includes everything for quick setup

• Docking and cloning station, USB-C -> USB-A 5Gbps cable 80 cm long, external power adapter, and multilingual manual.
